The ‘bucket list’
A few years ago I put together a ‘Bucket List’ of things I would like to do in my life. So when I am not in the gym I like to tick them off, either by heading to the local park with my unicycle or picking up that ‘English to Spanish for dummies’ book.Here’s a snippet;
- Sky Dive
- Score 180 in 3 darts
- Learn a second Language
- 7-ball Ryan (my twin) at English pool…again.
- Solve a 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube in under 60sec
- Get a Degree from University
If I am not pursuing my Bucket List I am more than likely sat with Larry (my Bearded Dragon) reading a book.
In 2013 I finished my Sports Studies Degree at Leeds Metropolitan University (now Leeds Beckett University), I chose the course due to its flexibility for elite athletes, most of the module content could be used to help with my training and, at the time, Leeds Gymnastics Club was located on the University campus. It was tough at times to motivate myself, especially writing assignments after long sessions and whilst away on competitions, but after a few ‘all nighters’ I earned my new title Ashley Watson BSc (Hons).
After finishing my Degree I have had a lot of free time outside of the gym. Allowing me to take up many hobbies like RC Helicopters, smelting & casting Aluminium and even taken up Bird watching. I love to learn and experience different things, some may seem eccentric or weird, but when im out of my comfort zone I know I’m improving myself.
